INTRODUCTION
Ingecon® CleanPower is a new
electrical topology comprising an exciter machine mechanically coupled to
a doubly fed induction generator. The power converter, isolated from the
grid, is connected between both machines, DFM and Exciter.
Power is only delivered to the grid through the stator of the doubly fed induction generator. As the power converter is not connected to the grid, the Ingecon® CleanPower provides a solution to most common variable speed wind turbines drawbacks such as harmonic distortion, flicker and ripple existence in delivered power. Hence, output power quality is remarkably improved.
